HARLEY and POPPY

Harley and Poppy, boy and girl. They are not siblings but are beloved best friends.

These two started out in a colony in a trailer park. Harley the big tuxedo boy was the protector and comforter of the adorable little gray and white girl, Poppy. They hung out together and felt safe together. When they were trapped, along with many others, they managed to stay together.

After they were trapped, they were scared and depressed. Harley was healing from a cat fight and they both spent their time hiding from people. It took a while but then, one day Harley decided he was ready to be pet. He found out he loves pets and chin scritches. And he has found his purr. Harley’s happiness to be with people has helped Poppy to start being more trusting. She is still not ready to be pet. But she is fine living in a home with people and acting like she belongs there. She doesn’t mind imitating an elephant when she runs through the house to investigate what you are doing. She’s comfortable getting in your business but not quite ready for the touching part.

These wonderful bonded kitties need a family that will understand that they will take some time to settle in. Other cats and nice dogs would be great. Harley and Poppy love other furry critters. And they do love to go outside so they will need a place to play and explore in nature once they are bonded with their people and home.
