RAHMBO

Big gorgeous guy who’s been out on his own for  while, maybe for a year. He wants love so much. He wants someone to be with him and give him pets, and cuddles, and attention. He’s all ready to be a pet cat again.

Rahmbo was obviously someone’s pet cat in the past. But then, however it happened, he ended without a home to go to. He was trapped by a kind woman who saw that he was struggling with another winter coming on.  So this big and very affectionate boy is looking for a home and family of his own.

Rahmbo seems to do okay with some dogs and even rubs up against them like they are buddies. We haven’t had him with cats but we think he might be great with a confident cat friend. He could be a great fit for a family with older kids who would like a good buddy to play with inside and outside.

Rahmbo is competent, no question about that. He survived the cold that took the tips of his ears. He survived all the dangers of being alone in the harsh world. Certainly he’s a good hunter. And no question that he’s a spirited, loving guy who is almost desperate to have a home and family. We don’t know how old he is but he seems very healthy and vibrant. He will definitely need a place where he can go outside and enjoy the natural world when he gets the urge.

MAXINE

Beautiful little Maxine. She is about 5-6 months old and very smart.

Maxine is a little bit shy but once you are her people, she will be your devoted kitty. She knows her name and comes to it! She will sit and cuddle with her people when she’s ready to cuddle. She loves other kitties, especially her good friend Little Dude. They came from the same hoarding situation and are happy being together. She will absolutely need a kitty friend in her new home. She has lived with a dog who is mellow and did fine.

Maxine has a magnificent coat in the finest Maine Coon fashion. She allows her foster parents to brush her and is happy to get some help with grooming. But she may do fine caring for it on her own as long as she is in a clean place (unlike the home she came from.) She is ready to have a nice loving family in a clean home where she will have a chance to be happy forever.

GLORIA

Gloria was found at the Soldotna dump with a single kitten. She may have been  born there, but more likely she was just another one of the many cats who was thrown away like unwanted trash every year. She was not feral so it’s possible she co-existed with humans in her former life.

Now that is over and Gloria has a chance. Considering her history, it is not surprising that she is an independent kitty. She prefers to lounge and play with other kitties. It seems like she really wants to be loved by people. She will let you pet her and will even give you some purrs and roll over for belly rubs. She does enjoy curling up at the foot of the bed some nights and she is learning that humans can bring good things, even moments of joy.  But she is not a lap cat at this time. What she needs now is to find a family that will show her love and patience to continue to blossom.

Gloria loves other cats and does ok with dogs. She will need a home where she has feline friends. She will also need a good safe place to go outside and enjoy the outdoors when the weather is good.

We think she is about 2 years old. She’s in Soldotna. Call or text 907 953-0333

WEDNESDAY-Pending

Wednesday. She’s not just another day of the week kind of cat. She’s unique.

Wednesday is obsessed with small places. Growing up outside, she must have found them to be the most comforting, safe places to nestle into and relax. Now that she’s living in a home with people who love her, she is happy to take advantage of little cubbies that are safe AND warm. She loves to sleep and chill in the closet. But even better is the lap of the person who will hold her and cuddle her and give her kind pets. She’s an affectionate little sweetheart about 5 months old. She is sleek and beautiful in her shiny coat with a little white diamond on her chest.

Wednesday loves her people and she also loves playing with her 3 sisters, or other nice kitties. She will need a feline friend in her new home; she would love for it to be one of her sisters. She would also love a fun place to play outside when the weather is nice and she can race around and check out all the little treasured hidey holes in her own yard! What fun that would be.

She’s in Soldotna and hoping for a loving forever family. Call or text 907 953-0333

PIPSQUEAK

Pipsqueak! She’s a survivor! She took the long way around to get to us but we are so glad she did.

Pipsqueak and her brother came from a huge hoarding situation in the valley. She was rescued by the Matsu shelter and landed there from the horrid house she was born in. We scheduled to rescue both of them but little brother was too weak and sick and he didn’t make it. So tiny Pipsqueak came to us alone. She was so little, she still needed bottle feeding. She became the steadfast companion of her foster mom, going everywhere with her since she still needed to be fed every few hours. And along the way Pipsqueak became the adored and maybe a little spoiled baby of the family.

But it’s time. Pipsqueak needs to move on to her own forever family where she will be as loved and spoiled as she has been for these past 3 months.

Pip is 4 months old now and ready to find a family who will be hers forever. She loves other kitties and doggies and is a well adjusted little family kitty. She will need kitty companion in her new home as well as a safe yard where she can play with all the loved ones in the fresh spring air.

Pipsqueak is in Soldotna. Call or text 907 953-0333

BAYLEAF–Pending

Darling little girl who has the sweetest friendly personality.   She is pretty in a tiger coat and has special big thumbs; she’s a mitten kitten!

Bayleaf is gentle and playful. She grew up 3 brothers so she learned  what rowdy was with all the crazy romping and racing around. She could keep up with the crowd and she still loves being silly and can race fast like lightning around the house. But she also loves to chill out and snuggy up to her humans  and purr and purr. She is an all around sweet kitty who will be great in a loving happy family.

Bayleaf is very social and will need a kitty friend in her new home. She will also need a safe area outside where she can go with her family to play when it’s warm again. She’s about 5-6 months old In Homer. CAll 907 980-8898

JACK

Jack is the perfect cat! No kidding! He’s the guy who can walk into a home, get relaxed (give him a minute of course!), make friends with the resident cats and start playing with the ones who want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, give a nod to the dog, and find a good place to chill that doesn’t bother anyone. He is also available at any time to help with chores.

He’s SO easy. And handome too!

Jack is about 1 1/2 years old. He knows how to chill but he has the energy and interest in life of a healthy young guy. He is an excellent hunter when it’s time to go out and take care of business. So really he’s an all around cool cat who would be your best boy.

Ready for a loving home with a fam that knows how to take care of business and also who know how to chill. Get your helper and chillin’ bud right here right now, all in one good-looking package. Jack is waiting.

Jinxie is a 5 month old tuxedo girl, a little adorable fluffball who looks like a classic Maine Coon kitten.

She came from a life outside with a feral mom. But because her caretaker was so kind, she was scared in foster for only a short time. And then being pet and purring was great fun. She is still shy and will take some time to get to know and trust her new family. But give her love and sweet words and she will be your darling playful purring kitten.

This adorable babe will need a kitty friend in her new home. She will also need a safe place to go outside and enjoy the wonders of the natural world without being cold at night.

KITTY PURRY

Sweet, sassy Kitty Purry. She is one of the most affectionate cats you will ever meet……once you are her people. She’s a lovely tabby with a neat tigery coat. We think she is 5 years old.

Kitty Purry is vocal and very touchy feely. Loves to make a connection with her humans and holds true to that in every way. She is cautious at first, because she is a smart girl, but once the bond is there she will shower her humans with love and affection and muffins. She has lived with other cats and dogs but they do not make her happy. Her joy and focus is on her humans and she would do well as the only cat. Definitely prefers her solitude to a crowd.  She does need a yard to go out where she can  seek the peacefulness of nature.

SAGE AND OTTER

Sage and Otter are most unusual boys. They have that kind of coat that is hard to explain and almost impossible to get pictures of. Easy description is gray tabby. But they are not any normal gray tabby. Their shiny short haired coats are a sort of a black smoke color with tiger strips running through it like a secret. You can only see it in certain lighting. Otter is the big brother and Sage is almost 1 1/2 pounds lighter, the little brother although they both about 5 months old.

But that is not the most unusual thing about them. They are amazing! Teeny tiny voices and the sweetest personalities on the planet, these happy little brothers get along with everyone who is nice–cats, dogs, kids. They are ready to set the world on fire with their sweetness. They may be adopted as a pair or separately, but if they are adopted alone, they will need to go to a home where there is another nice cat or kitten. And they do love dogs, grew up with a very nice doggo who was a good budd.
Sage and Otter are as good as it gets in the kitty world. If you’re looking for a very nice kitty boy, or two, to be part of your family, they could be the ones.
In Homer but they could take a ride up the highway for a great family. Call 907 980-8898

BUTCH-Pending

Cute, so sweet, affectionate and fun and lovable, Butch is all that. But look out world because he is so much more!

Butch is about 2 years old and he ready for the adventure of a great life. He is excited about every day, what new treasures of experience and fun there is to find. He loves his people and he is totally fine with other cats who are not mean. And he would love a cat who would be his friend and playmate.  He does okay with mellow dogs. But he needs more than the life of a locked-in couch potato. He LOVES to go outside and feel the joy of being alive and free and a cat! He is certainly a great hunter. Being the natural cat that he aspires to be, he will need a good safe area where he can explore every bush and climb every tree to investigate what it is all about. And he will also need a great family who is happy to help him learn what is safe and what to avoid, and who will admire his wonderful spirit.

Butch is the perfect cat. A pleasure to have as a family member, to cuddle and snuggle with, to share his joy of life, and who will appreciate his hunting skills to help keep the little rodents at bay. BUCKY

Meet Bucky! She is a 7 year old seal point Siamese. She came from a home where she lived for all of her 7 years, only to spend the last 2 years hiding from their dog 😢 She slept with her favorite human, a little girl about 7 years old. She is SUPER sweet once she warms up to you and loves kids!!

Bucky would not do great in a rowdy household. She enjoys the quiet times. Which means no dogs for her. She may do okay with another cat in the house if they do their own thing and let her do hers….preferably with her very nice kid friend.  She needs a safe, calm, loving house with sweet people who will play fetch with her and snuggle her! Nice kids would be a big plus. And she does need a safe yard where she can go out with her people at times and play and lounge in the grass.

APOLLO

Apollo is a gorgeous blue-eyed Siamese boy. He has a rough past but he is so ready to throw all that aside and start over in a great home with a kind loving family, a welcoming cat friend and a whole new wonderful life.

In a former home, Apollo was abused. We don’t know the details, but we do know that his companion who was taken to the shelter at the same time was so damaged that he had to be euthanized. Apollo is not injured like that, but it is clear that his confidence in people was destroyed and his little heart was broken. He’s ready to be all past that awful time.

Apollo LOVES to be held and cuddled and pet and given kisses. He purrs and snuggles into it. It’s like the happiest thing in the world. He absorbs every tiny gesture of kindness like it’s life itself. But is takes him a while to get to that point with him. He may hide  when he feels uneasy about things, as if he is doing his best to not be noticed that could lead to bad things happening. But gradually as he feels more comfortable that there will not be meanness and violence, his confidence grows and he becomes more trusting.

This beautiful blue-eyed snowshoe Siamese boy is about 3 years old. He is gentle, shy, never a harsh reaction, not a mean bone in his body. Once he is settled in, he will respond to kindness  with all the joy that his little body and heart can muster. Purrs, snuggles. A cat friend helps the comfort in the house, a gentle buddy he can hang out with and soak up the confidence that this is a great place to live and these people are good ones.

This sweet little boy deserves a home where he never has to fear again. Where there is kindness and love and gentle ways.  A settled home without chaos of loud noises and where there is a feline buddy to be his touchstone. He might enjoy a little yard that is safe and peaceful and he can go outside and bask in the quiet of nature. And then inside with his family where the air is filled with contentment and love. He’s ready for the last great home of his life.

GRAY POUPON

Gray Poupon is striking with his frost-tipped ears and extraordinarily oversized head. He has the look of a Russian Blue. His unique gray fur tipped with silver looks unkempt in that cocky bad boy way. He is confident in his handsome dudeness as he struts through the house looking for his people. He’s a solitary dude and does not need the companionship of other cats; he needs to be the only cat.

He’s not a snuggler, but does lay with his person, and likes to be around his people. He checks in when he’s eating; he’ll eat some bites then come get some pets then go back for more bites. He has a strong purr. He loves loves loves head scratches and little catnip mice, and catnip bananas.

He has a distinctive deep, Gravelly voice, and he likes to tell me about his days.

FRED

This is Fred. He’s a big bad terrorist with a mighty roar!

In his own mind.

In reality Fred is a long, lanky colt-shaped, 6 month old kitten who loves to run and play and wants a kitty friend to play with so bad! He had a sister and brother at his former home and they were crazy players having so much fun. But in the current foster home, the big, older kitties are like,’ listen kid, get out of my space.’ So he stands at the top of the stairs and makes the teeniest, tiny little squeaky sounds.

Very much NOT a big bad terroritst sound.

But he doesn’t know that.

Fred is a little over 5 months old, that most wonderful age when kittens start leaning out and can run at breakneck speeds. Fred is fast. I will give him that.

But even admidst all that big guy bravado, Fred is just a baby who loves to be picked up and cuddled and reassured. He will knead in the air while he purrs. He will sleep right up next to you and be so gentle when his little paw touches your face. He needs a family who will give him lots of love and lots of cuddles……when he is not racing through the house terrorizing the world at large. In his own house. He would love kitty friends in his new home and when it’s warm again, he’d like to race through the yard with his people and his kitty friends. Doggie friends are fine too. He is all ready for the wonderful adventure of a happy life with a happy family.

Fred is in Homer but he could get a ride for a great family and forever love and care.

If this little terrorist loverboy could be the one for you, please give us a call at 907 980-8898

LUCY FUR

This is Lucy Fur, such a cute and spunky little girl. She is all about affection. She loves to be loved by her people and is good at demanding it. Cuddles, snuggles, kisses; all of that is better than catnip!

Lucy Fur was born with a large hernia that had to be repaired. But that didn’t stop her a bit from being an adorable little perky kitty who could win hearts with her sweet ways.

Lucy lived outside as a kitten and she will need a fun yard to play in with her family and her kitty friends (she will need kitty friends in her new home!) when the weather is nice. And when it’s not nice, she is happy to stay inside with her family and play and cuddle and cuddle and play. And have the best purring life ever.

GREG-Pending

Orange and cute and oh so sweet! How can you go wrong? Greg is a sweetheart. He was found outside as a stray but it only took him a minute in a foster home to show how happy he was to be out of danger and have food every day. And to be loved by a kind person.

We think he’s a young fellow, maybe a year or two old. A little bit fluffy and a whole lot lovable, he is ready for a loving family of his own. He does not seem to care for dogs so a home without dogs would be best. He may do fine with other friendly cats although he had not been exposed to them directly in the foster home. He has an easy going kind of personality and is great with people.

We think he will be happiest where he has a warm, cozy home with a loving family and a yard where he can go outside and do his cat shenanigans in the fresh air.

SPOTIFY

Spotify is a handsome young boy with a half mask and spots arranged in his own individual pattern. The little dots on his nose are the cutest!

He’s extremely friendly and loves cuddles. He is outspoken and is food driven. He does great with the other cats and would love a brother or sister to bond with. We don’t know about dogs. He is very loving and would love to spend the afternoon on the lap of his human. He hasn’t been around children but with adult supervision he would likely be a good companion.

He was found outside in poor condition. Now that he has put on some weight and settled into a home, he is learning how to play. He has soft paws and is aware of them, careful not to show claws with his people and cat friends. He loves being an inside cat but does enjoy being outside.  He will venture  venture outside for short times but he’s always happy to pop back in. He will need a cat friend and a place to go outside in his new home.

In Anchorage. Text 907 960-0096

PEEKABOO

Peekaboo is a cuddlebug! If you want someone to sit in your lap and be snuggly, this is the guy for you. He’s probably about 8 years old, but no way he is ready to retire. He has lots of exploring around the house and cuddling yet to do.

Peekaboo has been through a rough patch. But that part of his life is over! He’s ready for a fresh start with a family who really  loves him and will never abandon him. He is shy with strangers but  once he gets over his fear, he’s  very talkative and adventurous! He will run around your house singing you the song of his people, but will also happily snuggle with you on the couch for hours. He is food-motivated and needs some engagement so he doesn’t get bored and look for trouble (like counter-top goodies). He spent some time on his own without enough food and he still has that inclination to make sure he knows how he can get food.

Peekaboo would probably be happiest with another cat that would love him and be his buddy. We don’t know about dogs. He would like the option in his future, on nice days, to go out on the porch or maybe even  into the yard. But in general he seems to be in that ‘been there done that’ mode of the outside life.

Sweet, handsome panther boy, Peekaboo is a wonderful guy for a settled loving family. In Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

PARKER

Parker is a young one year old tabby boy who is so happy to be rescued! To have this chance to be loved by people (he adores being pet) and to have so many fun kitty friends. Even dogs he finds to be good housemates. He is an all around lover without a mean bone in his body.

Parker was trapped outside where he had been surviving for months. He and another kitten were dumped in a neighborhood and grew up camping in a falling down shed and getting food from a nearby house where the nice people put kibble out for them. Thank goodness the nice people then called rescue. Now Parker is in his true element. In a home where he is so happy and tries to make everyone else happy every day.  Because of his history, he still startles at loud noises and movements. But when he is comfortable he can’t get enough love. He can even be a bit pushy at times wanting affection. He is such a charming little guy, it’s hard to ignore him. He will do well in most any home, although small children are not the best fit for him.

Parker will need a yard where he can go outside and enjoy the best of his life that he used to have. And then come inside with his family to also enjoy the best of the life of a beloved family cat.

He’s in Soldotna. Call 907 953-0333

MACY-Pending

For beauty, Macy has no match. She is a most incredibly gorgeous girl. A flame point Siamese girl with blue eyes and fluff in her coat. She’s about 2 years old.

Macy came from a colony of maybe 50 cats. She was pregnant when rescued. She has been a wonderful doting mom for her kittens and now they have all found homes. Macy is the only one left.

She’s shy. She didn’t have the advantages of human love when growing up. She was cared for. She was not treated badly by humans, but there was just no time to give her attention because there were so many cats.

In foster, she has accepted that humans are kind and loving. She likes to be pet and loves having a home that is hers, with her cat friends and the slightly annoying doggo. She wants to be a family cat, with her own people and cat friends, a house of her own so that she never has to be left outside in the cold, and a yard where she can step out and enjoy the best of the natural world. She’s ready for the family who will be her special ones forever.

She will take a little time to get to know a new place and new people, to settle in and be totally comfortable with the routine. But she is ready to try. Having a foster home has been great and she believes a real forever home will be even better.

If you’re interested in meeting Macy in Anchorage, please give us a call at 907 980-8898

HARRY

Harry! He’s a ball of energy! And curious about everything! He follows his foster mom around to see what’s next to check out. Everything does need to be checked out.

Harry is a young guy maybe a couple years old to mid age. Handsome guy with a goofy mask and black markings on his white coat. He’s muscular and in great shape although he came to us with an injury under his leg caused by a harness. He never wants to see a harness again. But he does very very much want to go outside and explore. He has no intention of leaving home, when he gets that great home with that great family. But he does need to investigate all things, and burn off some of that young guy energy.

He’s a social and amiable cat but he does tend to play rough, so little kids would not be a good fit. And he tries in the most annoying, and rough, way to play with the older female cats in the house who do not appreciate his ‘playtime’ antics. He might do well with a young boy cat who wants to romp and wrestle like he does. We don’t know about dogs.

Harry is a super loving and lovable boy who needs an adult home that has a good outside space for him and will enjoy his suped up activities. He would likely be a great cat to take walks with you (without a harness) and help with chores around outside. He wants so much to be a part of a family. (Harry still has a small sore under his leg where the harness cut into his flesh but he is healing fine.)

If this handsome guy sounds like a cat for you, please give us a call at 907 980-8898.

SCAMPER

Darling little girl is slim and petite and as sleek as a panther. She is maybe a year old and would love a home with happy loving people.

When we got Scamper she had been kept in a cage. She had been spayed a couple weeks before, and since returning home, the other cats had been mean to her. So she was caged. She was so unhappy and afraid and didn’t want to be around other cats. But now, with kittens and other nice kitties, she seems to be fine.  She would love to be the one and only cat in the house but she would also be fine with a very nice kitty companion. She does love company.  She loves to have kind people to love her and interact with her. She even enjoys the antics and companionship of the gentle toddler in the house. She rubs up against her like, ‘give me pets now, small lady’.

Scamper is a very personable and loves cuddles. She likes to talk to her humans and be a part of their family, doing things together, snuggling, playing outside in nice weather. She’s so ready to be special to someone and not just one of the cats that the other cats pick on.

If you have nice kids who are kind and gentle with cats and would love a sweet, little shiny black jewel of a cat, Scamper would be purrfect. In Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

GISELLE

When you’re this beautiful, you need a name like Giselle. Long silky hair in a rainbow of soft muted colors. Tabby, torbie, calico, tortie. We’re not sure how to label her but beautiful fits her fine.

Giselle is the ideal cat for a family. She’s okay with other cats, dogs, kids. Probably turtles and fish and llamas. If somehow gets snarky, she gives them a word or two and all good.

She may look like a couch ornament with her gorgeous coat, but she is a classic cat. She loves to go outside. All that fur doesn’t get in the way of her hunting skills, and it keeps her warm so she may even want to spend a little time outside in the fresh air in the winter.

She’s ready for a great home and family. In Soldotna. If you have that and are ready for a beautiful lush-coated girl, call or text 907 953-0333

His social skills are top notch and he would do best in a home with another young cat that loves to play. Jasper will be sure to clean the other cats ears for them too if they allow him. He spends a lot of time cuddling, grooming, and wrestling with his foster brother and he would love a romping cat buddy. His foster sister is more standoffish and he respects her space, while still trying to be friendly with her.

Jasper is fastidious with his grooming and takes great pride in maintaining his luxurious coat. He is quite the looker, a gorgeous blue eyed flame-point Siamese. He and will happily lay on the bed with you, and lean against you for cuddles. However, if you reach for him suddenly, he will startle. He is still trying to understand why humans want to touch him so much (and you can see why anyone would want to pet his soft cashmere coat). If you reach over his head he will duck and look confused, but if you approach him slowly and from below his eye line he will happily relish in all the pets you offer him, and even try to groom you back. Jasper is a sensitive cat, but incredibility curious. Jasper is still a bit skittish and easily startled, but other times he seems quite brave. Sometimes he runs from people moving quickly in his environment or reaching for him suddenly, yet he is also the only cat in the house that isn’t afraid of a vacuum cleaner. He is still quite young, between 1 and 2 years, and learning how to respond to human body language. With enough time he would likely transform into an ideal pet.

Jasper will play with you until he is panting heavily, and practically falling down from exhaustion. He just can’t get enough. He currently shares his foster home with two resident cats about 3 years old and a very large old clumsy dog. He probably wouldn’t be great for small children, but he would be fine with older children and or a calm dog in the house. Jasper is ready for a forever home that is experienced with cat communication, or a less experienced owner that is willing to be patient while he learns how to respond to humans. He can be a little mouthy, but has amazing bite strength control and is very careful with his claws.

Jasper is full of personality, in excellent health, and will be sure to entertain his new family for years to come. In Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

KITTENS IN SOLDOTNA

Adorable little 3 1/2 month old kittens. They are as cute as a kitten can possibly be. They are from a colony of kitties and they love other kitties and like to be pet by nice people but are still a little shy. A quiet home with a kitty friend and a safe yard (for later when it’s warm again and they are bonded with the family) is required. Call or text 907 953-0333

MAC

Ohh, the sweetest! That’s Mac. A darling masked bandit.

Mac has a history that is so sad. We are told that he lived with his family in a hotel in Spenard until it burned down. His family moved away and for whatever reason, Mac was not taken with them. That was over a year ago. Since then, Mac has fended for himself. He was seen often going into an abandoned vehicle near the hotel. Others said they believed that he had found a place in the burned skeleton of the hotel to get out of the weather. Whatever refuge Mac found, it was not what this sweet boy deserves. He was trapped and came into rescue.

Mac is a sweetheart. A gentle, loving boy who is fine with the other cats in the foster. Still shy with the busy home life with humans, but he does love to be pet and get tender touches and kind words. When first rescued, he was uncertain about being picked up. But now he loves to be picked up and carried around by his beloved human. He loves cuddles so much, he might be happy to just snuggle up to you and spend the day purring.

We think Mac is probably around 3 years old. And what he needs now is that special family who will give him time to adjust to a new home and family, a settled way of life without a lot of chaos, a cozy home, loving humans, probably a nice cat friend, and a yard where he can go enjoy the outside without worrying what he will eat and where he will find safety and comfort for the next day.

Mac has had enough uncertainty and now it’s time for love and security and joy with a great family. In Wasilla. Call 907 980-8898

CHEDDAR

Cheddar is looking for a very special home. When Chedder came into foster, he spent the first several months pressed into a corner, making himself as small as possible with the saddest eyes ever seen. He was afraid, and would not allow anyone to touch him. Then cautiously, Cheddar started coming out of his corner, making friends with the other cats, and learning that the humans were safe.

Finally one day, Cheddar started accepting pets, especially when the other cats were being petted. His instinct was to still run away from an outstretched hand but after some encouragement, he would come back for pets. That lasted for many more months, until suddenly one day Cheddar hopped on the couch with the humans to cuddle. Now he is an absolute cuddle bug, running up for cuddles anytime the humans sit on the couch and sleeps next to the humans at nighttime.

Cheddar still spooks easily and is very shy so an adult only home is best. Cheddar does well with nice dogs, and playful young cats in the home will be an absolute must! Cheddar loves running through the house, wrestling, and playing with the other cats. Also, friendly social cats will play a key role in helping Chedder settle into his new home and teach him that he is in a safe place.

Cheddar is a completely different cat then when he first came into foster. He needs a patient and understanding family who will continue to help him build confidence, and understand he is loved so that he never becomes a scared kitty in a corner again. We think he is a few years old and he is an absolutely stunning looking boy. He will need best feline friends and a safe place to play outside with his friends once he is competely settled into his home.

WANONA GRANOLA

Granola needs a home as soon as possible. She loves other cats so a cat friend in her new home would be great and help her to stick closer to home. The following is written by the family who must rehome her.

Granola cat came to us as foster and we immediately fell in love with her friendly personality, she wanted to play with us and with our other cat on first meeting. After warming up for a few weeks and her hormones settling down after an unexpected litter of kittens and spay she became a very affectionate love bug, kneading and sucking on blankets and people and purring up a storm while doing it. It was an easy decision to adopt her after fostering. She LOVES to be outside and is an excellent mouser, likes to watch the chickens but doesn’t bother them and would snuggle the dogs if they would let her. If we go on a walk she comes with, even helping me harvest the garden and go foraging this fall. She is an excellent and independent companion, not a needy cat at all. She has some funny quirks such as being a trash panda and eating anything and everything presented to her, eggs, chicken, muffins, noodles.. you name it she wants to share. Unfortunately her love of people and other animals had her wandering into a neighbors yard who did not want her around and her safety is being threatened and we are in a position where it is safest for lady Granola to be rehomed again as much as it breaks our hearts. If you think you’re a good fit for a foodie cat with a gypsy soul let us know!

TIGRESS

Beautiful and slighty round girl, Tigress has the most amazing coat. She striped like a wild creature to blend into the jungle. But her manner is far from the wild; she is very calm and sweet and adaptable. She’s about 3 years old and would be a great family member.

Tigrees has a nice, gentle personality. She’s ready to befriend any cat who would welcome her. She is so easy to love and to fit into a happy family. She’s all ready to add her bit of happiness, the peaceful, purring acceptance of being loved and cared for. She is great with other nice cats. Dogs she tends to avoid but would do fine with a dog that does not expect her to interact with them. She will need a yard where she can go out and check out the world and then come back in to the bosom of her family.

Tigress enjoys the company of other nice cats so a friend would be great for her. But she may do fine on her own with a family who will give her lots of love and attention. She’s in Anchorage. Call or text 907 960-0096

PRINCE

Prince is a very cuddly, snuggly and friendly boy. He can give you hugs and loves. He’s a gorgeous seal point Siamese. We think he is about 3 or 5 years old.

Prince was found as an abandoned cat guarding other abandoned kittens and it looked like a noble prince. However, when he got rescued he was all beaten up. Covered by raindrops, dirt, hair knots, and scratches with bald spots and a broken tooth. His ears look curved by frostbite or during battles which tells how hard it is to survive outside in Alaska. He had to get a fang extracted. Such a tough and sweet survivor. He is doing great now. He does need a special food to help with his digestion.

Prince is a purrfect sweet house cat. He is a friendly boy who loves to get petted (especially his head, jowls, neck, and under his chin), to get a cuddle, to talk, to chill on your lap, and of course his food. He rolls over while getting brushed. Good with other cats. We don’t know about dogs. Must have safe outside area to explore in fairer weather. He’s in Anchorage. Text 907 960-0096

KATNISS

If you’re looking for a calm, lovely, affectionate and wise girl cat, Katniss is perfect!

She’s been a family cat for the 10 years of her life and she knows how to do that well. She has great house manners. She also has lots of energy and curiosity. She loves to check out things… everything. She is so interested in life and ready to explore, to meet everyone, to see what is in every nook and cranny in the house and under every leaf in the yard, so she has to have outside time. She is a delight to share the world with.

Katniss lived with dogs. So a mellow, respectful dog would be fine. She prefers to be the only cat. And she absolutely will satisfy that need to have an amazing feline in your home and to go outside with you to revel in the wonder of the natural world. In human years, Katniss is 50 and she is ready to share with her new family all the joy of wonder and happiness of being alive.

SHEBA

When you’re six months old, petite, and as cute as a button, you must be Sheba!

Silky gray coat and the cutest little face, Sheba is a delightful kitty. She’s very affectionate and a bit of a trapeze artist. She loves to ride on shoulders and backs. In the most gentle way possible; never any claws. Just great balance. Her fur is very soft, like silk. She might be a Nebelung mix. She gets along well other kitties and dogs.

Sheba is outgoing and friendly. The purrfect little girl for a home with friendly critters and kind humans. She will need a feline friend in her new home, and a place where she can go outside with her family to enjoy the wonders of nature.

NOVA

Beautiful golden Nova. She is a quiet, loving girl about 6 years old. Definitely a fluffball, she is so cuddly to snuggle up with.

Nova was happy in her lifelong home until the family moved. And something changed. She and her housemate began to hide. She is said to do well with nice kids and respectful dogs. and she was fine with her feline housemate. But for reason both cats seemed to feel unsafe, or unhappy, in the new place. So now Nova needs a new home where she can be happy again.

Nova is a sweet and unassuming girl who is happy to hang out with her people, got out into the yard sometimes to enjoy nature. She enjoys quiet evenings cuddled up, just her and her loved ones. CHESTER

Chester is a Tom that had been living on his own in a neighborhood for about five years. In April he started coming around when a new female kitten showed up. The kitten’s person gained Chester’s trust and took him in.  He was in pretty rough shape, his fur matted so tight against his skin that he needed to be shaved.

But now, Chester has turned into a beautiful loving boy. He wants to spend his days in a furever home, preferably in a calm home. He does get along with other cats and most dogs. He’s come along way from living on the streets. He’s super friendly, likes all people and every cat he’s met in the foster home. He is ok with calm dogs. He loves attention and wants to sleep on laps.

We think he is about 6 years old. It’s time that he has a loving family of his own and can give up the abandoned stray life once and for all. A safe yard in the summer would be preferred. In Anchorage. Text 907 960-0096.

MAGGIE AND DELILAH

Maggie and Delilah. They have had quite a time of it.

They were adopted as kittens to a kind woman who took them in as her family. The shy little fluffy panther, Maggie, and affectionate, purring calico girl, Delilah.  For 8 years they lived that idyllic life, being loved and taken care of. Maggie was always reserved, the independent one. Did her cat thing, joined the family in evenings for TV and companionship. Maybe a little playtime.  Delilah was the cuddler, sit on mom’s lap and get hugs and kisses, and purrrr. Follow her around to help with chores. They were the perfect pair.

And then their mom passed away. Unfortunately that was not discovered for some time and Maggie and Delilah were left in the home for some time. When they were finally found, that were traumatized and had to be trapped. Taken to the shelter, they completely shut down and were not adoptable. They were put up for rescue.

It has taken some time  for them to finally realize that their lives are not over and it’s time to join the land of the living.

They are about 8 years old. They are okay with other cats being around but would be much happier if it’s not a crowd. A settled, loving family, quiet evenings together, maybe a porch or little patch of grass where they can smell the flowers, listen to the birds and watch the world in its glory on nice days. Happy family times together. Lots of lap time and cuddles for Delilah. Lots of observation points and exploration places for Maggie.

A happy forever home. A loving forever family.

If you are ready for this beautiful pair of cats, and have a home where they would have a chance for a great life, please give us a call. 907 980-8898

COOTER

Friendly. Gentle. Easy and so loving. They are perfect adjectives for Cooter.

If you ever dreamed of a cat who will walk into your life and  almost instantly love you and act like you are his best beloved family member forever, you were dreaming of Cooter.

This amazing boy was found as a stray outside, covered in mats, hungry. In foster, he immediately offered up his devotion, his kindness, love, and understanding of everyone. The other cats, the nice kids, whoever was kind to him. Even as the mats were being cut and picked out, he would only move slightly away. He made no move to bite or scratch, and he even seemed to welcome the care and attention in spite of of the stings of grooming. He seems like a guy who has seen a lot of bad things, had some tough times, and all it did was make him compassionate of others. As if he understands that life is not always easy but having love is a wonderful thing. He is by far the easiest cat to settle into a caring home with caring people that I have ever met.

We think he is about 5  years old, a big guy with a fluffy coat. Very handsome. Ready to settle into a happy life with happy people, and where he has a yard or woods that is a good place for him to enjoy all the great things of nature.

He’s in Anchorage. Please give us a call at 907 980-8898

She’s also incredibly cuddly and affectionate, loving to snuggle up in your lap or next to you on the couch. Scamp’s need for affection is beautifully balanced with her independent spirit – she’s just as content exploring her surroundings as she is curling up for a cozy nap.

Scamp is also quite the chatterbox! She loves to communicate with her soft and melodic meows, always making sure you know when she wants attention, playtime, or a tasty treat. Her expressive communication adds an extra layer of charm to her already endearing personality.

CASS

Cass is about 1.5 year old Siamese boy. He comes to us from a home where other kitties were mean to him. He is a big boy and will likely bulk up more. His eyes are gorgeous! He is pretty chill in his foster home with dogs and cats, spending most of the time he’s hanging out in his room in a safe place. He occasionally enjoys watching TV with his foster parents and recently helped foster mom fold laundry by jumping on the bed with her. Very helpful! He is very, very sweet and affectionate too.
Cass has been good with his foster dog and pretty indifferent to the other nice kitty in the home. He is scared of loud noises so a quiet house is probably best. He likes to get your attention by quietly meowing. And, while he doesn’t love being picked up and carried, he does love affection and pets. Cass LOVES head rubs and starts purring immediately.

PUMBA at Home

After a week with us, we wanted to give you an update on the fabulous Mr. Pumba.

This little man is the most affection-motivated cat we’ve have ever met and will flop down wherever you are to coax out some chest and cheeks rubs.

He is happy to flop all over the house and has one of the most distinguished looks when he’s laying down, arms outstretched. He has zero fear of other animals and has hit it off so well with our Mastiff that he often has a trace line of drool on his head from her jowls; It’s charmingly gross.

Best of all, he has already begun to bond with our eldest daughter. He hardly leaves her side when she’s home.

Thank you for letting us add this charming feline to our family.

(From Pumba’s very happy family)

STELLI

This is Stelli, the beautiful tuxedo boy with the harlequin face. He was trapped as a stray, as the mother of the 2 kittens that were traveling with him. When we found out he was a boy, it was shocking! Who but a mom would stay by the side of the these little ones and watch over them so carefully and lovingly, keeping them alive in the middle of winter?

That’s when he became Uncle Stelli.

Stelli is the sweetest, kindest boy. He loves everyone feline. And he is wonderful with people too but he takes time to show that side of his amazing personality. If you have a cat that needs a friend, help with being confident, help feeling loved, he’s the best friend they could have. If you have kittens that need to learn how to be good kittens, Uncle Stelli to the rescue.

Stelli is ready to join a happy human family, one that is less chaos and more catty. He must have a cat friend, and more than one would be fine. He needs humans who will give him time and kindness and love. In return he will be the sweetest, kindest boy ever. He would love to have a yard or outside place to go with his people and his best feline buddies who he will love and care for for a lifetime.

He’s in Soldotna keeping all the foster kitties happy. Everyone should have an Uncle Stelli. If you would be interested in this very special one, call or text 907 953-0333

Tommy is friendly and loving and everything you could want in a member of your family. He has a sweet temperament and gets along with everyone in the house. Dogs, cats, whoever will be friendly, he’s ready to oblige. He was found out on his own and he’s grateful and so happy to be inside with humans and critters who care about him. And who give him yummy food and treats. He’s playful and loves to be pet.

EVELINE

Meet Eveline, a fun, cute, spunky little girl with the most beautiful blue eyes. She is around three years old, is affectionate, not shy, and enjoys hanging out with her people. She is not necessarily a lap cat, she’s more of a nearby cat, but she loves to be petted and we think with some time she may become more of a snuggler.

Crack open a can of Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers cat food, however, and you will have her 100% undivided attention. This girl loves her food! She also enjoys playing with her many toys and will leap and frolic with joy when you play with her. Eveline is a quiet girl and will talk to you with an endearing little “Mrrrrrhh” or a tiny meow. We think she would do best as an only cat, or possibly as the first cat with a kitten added later once she is firmly established as the rightful queen of the family.  She can get along fine with dogs that leave her alone. She is not shy about letting them know when they are too close.

Eveline can sometimes get a bit spicy when she is playing, so we recommend adults only or older kids that will respect her boundaries and know when to give her some space.

Do you have room in your home and heart for this petite sweetheart? Once established in your home, she will need some safe outdoor space to go out and explore. She’s in Eagle River. Call 907 980-8898

Who needs another animal when she’s so wonderful?

She does love to go outside. A quiet place where she can wander the yard and explore her own thoughts would be great. He is not a lap cat but he may come sleep at the foot of the bed.

OLAF

In search of a very special home for a very special boy! ⛄️

Meet Olaf, the quiet gentle blue-eyed boy who has a lot of love to give. He’s had a hard past, but has finally come to trust humans again with the help of his foster family. Now he’s looking for his special forever home.

Olaf does well with dogs and calm older kids. He loves his people, sitting on laps, cuddling, hanging out with his humans. He does love to go outside and chill out so a yard where he can have a sunny napping site and some bushes to explore would be great. We think he is a couple years old.

Olaf has IFIV, feline immunodeficiency virus. It is not contagious to humans or dogs and only contagious to other cats through fighting or mating. Olaf is not a fighter and his days of mating are past. As long as he and his cat companions get along, he will be fine in a home with other cats, and a gentle dog friend would be great.  Olaf is healthy and bright and spirited.  Most cats with FIV live long and healthy lives without any problems and Olaf plans to have a long, healthy and happy life.

And if there are rodents that are not invited to be around, he will do a good job of discouraging them. He does not do well with other cats and must be the only feline in the home. With dogs, he has seemed non-committal so it may depend on the dog.

She was fearful and avoided even being seen. It seemed like a tough challenge to get her to a point where she would tolerate people. But in a relatively short time, Scottie surprised us all. She not only adapted to home life  and people, she decided she loved it!

Now Scottie is a chirping, adorable kitty who loves to play with kitty friends at night, wake foster mom up in the morning with a bright cheery spirit, play with toys like a champ, and cuddle up with her beloved humans whenever they sit down and seem to have an empty lap. She is an amazing example of socializing success.

Scottie lives in her foster home with quiet loving people, cats, dogs. She is happy with them all. She will definitely need cats who want to be friends and play in her new home. And she will need a yard, when she is settled in and bonded with her family, where they an all go out and play on nice days.

It might take a minute for this amazing little girl to start over in a whole new life and family. But we feel certain that when she does, she will be the joy of her people’s world.

And did we mention that she is beautiful! Ebony, shining, coat with a little fluff. She is about 7 months old and preparing right now for the adventure of a family of her own. In Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

SMOKEY

Smokey is a darling girl with the classic Russian Blue look.  Beautiful blue-gray coat, a round face, and the golden eyes. She has a great attitude with her beloved people.  She was left behind when her people moved away. But she doesn’t hold that against humans and is a lovey dove when she gets comfortable.

Smokey loves toys and she loves watching the birds outside the windows. But head rubs and wet food are what she lives for. She is a very gentle, easy going and very relaxed girl. A little shy but once she gets used to her people, she is easy to fit into a loving quiet home. She would do best as the only cat in the home. And she is an excellent, experienced huntress that will need a safe area to be the most natural cat that she can be.

MISSY

Missy is an intelligent, spirited, and capable girl. She was on her own outside for a while after her people moved. Whatever she experienced in that unexpected adventure has not dampened her spirit. Safe and cared for in foster, she is enjoying the life of comfort and ease of being safe and cared for. But she is still full of joy and curiosity and the readiness for a long life ahead.

In the mornings, Missy will leave her cozy cat bed to come sit on your chest in perfect cat “loaf” form and purr and purr with happiness. She will administer some scratchy tongue kisses good morning and loves be kissed back and petted. After that, she may have some breakfast and will start her day supervising and patrolling the house. She is quiet and will only really meow when she is looking for you, but when she does it’s a cute, scratchy, “pack-a-day” voice. Missy’s favorite entertainment is her cardboard scratchers, which she loves and keeps her from scratching your furniture. If you sprinkle some cat nip on them it’s just pure kitty joy! When the mood strikes her, she’ll chase a toy mouse on a fishing pole, but she’s happy most of the time to just laze around and hang with her people. She loves to curl up on your lap with a soft blanket and will stay there for some time, just purring away.

Missy would enjoy being an only cat, or maybe with one other cat friend that does their own thing. We don’t know how she feels about dogs. Missy does LOVE to go outside and spent quite a bit of time out before she was rescued. Once she’s settled with her new family, Missy would enjoy some safe outdoor kitty adventures. She is about 12 years old.

BUBBA

Big gorgeous blue-eyed, lynx-point Siamese boy, Bubba has extra toes and a whole lotta love to share.

Bubba is about 11 years old and it’s time that he has a loving family who will be his forever. He is very affectionate and hopes that the next home is the charm. He would love a family who loves him for the sweetheart that he is; not for his blue eyes, or extra toes. He is the sweetest, mellow boy who seems to do well with others who have a gentle spirit as he does. He would get along fine with a kind feline companion. He would prefer a quieter, settled home with people who are not chaotic and loud, a place where he can enjoy a life of happy activities, like cuddling in a welcoming lap, purring at the bottom of the bed at night, taking leisurely walks through the yard and garden, maybe doing a little hunting or maybe just finding a cozy place to nap.

Bubba is ready for that final forever home where he will happily spend the rest of the days in the loving bosom of his family. If you have that home, please give us a call and ask about Bubba. Call 907 980-8898

KITKAT

Kitkat is a pretty young boy with a harlequin face just for the fun of it. He is about a year old.

He is a wonderful cat. Because he is submissive, he would not do well with a dominant cat. But other nice cats he is fine with. He doesn’t necessarily need a cat friend, he loves his people, including kids, so much that he would be happy with loving humans.  He likes dogs also. He is very affectionate and needs a kind family to be his beloved ones forever.

He is young and curious and will need a safe place outside where he, and his family, can go to enjoy the lovely summer. In Soldotna but can travel for a great family. Call or text 907 953-0333

PACHA

Revved up, ready to wrestle and romp and be a little crazy, Pacha is a spirited little bit over the top teenager, no doubt about it.

He’s a love. The sweetest little guy with his people, maybe 9 months old. Pacha is so delighted with life, all the possibilities. So many things to explore and do and learn, he is almost exploding with excitement. He very much needs a feline buddy who would like to romp and wrestle and have loads of fun with him. They could race through the yard, climb the trees and attack every bush and stick they can find. The whole idea is thrilling.

If you want a couch potato, Pacha is not your guy. But if you are ready, and your cat is ready, to experience the sheer joy of being alive every minute of every day, Pacha could be your purrfect boy. (He does nap so his joy does go into snooze mode sometimes.)

He is tolerant of the dog in the foster home. He does need a cat buddy as well as a yard/outside area sufficient to satisfy the shenanigans of Pacha in adolescence. In Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

QUINCY

Check out this guy! Quincy. There is something special about him. BIG. Charming. That Maine Coon look with the ear tufts even though he doesn’t have the super fluffy coat. He’s the kind of guy that makes people turn their head for a better look. And who goes to the vet to be neutered and everybody wants to adopt him. Something about him.

He might be 2 or 3 years old. Definitely a young adult. And so sociable and so mesmerizing. He is the perfect guy for just about everything. He’s great with other nice cats and he will absolutely need a cat friend in his new home. When he was rescued, he was hanging out with another homeless cat. In foster, he is just fine with whatever furry feline is interested in being friends. We don’t know how he is with dogs. He totally loves to go outside. And that too will be a requirement, that he have a safe place to go out and room enough to wander around a bit without getting in anyone else’s business. We’re not sure if he tends to roam and that is how he ended up homeless but we suspect that he was abandoned. He may have wandered around a bit to find a place where the people put out food for him. A family that gives him lots of attention and a cat friend that he can do things with, along with a place he can explore the trees and bushes, would likely help keep him settled and happy and close to home.

Quincy is the quintessential wonderful boy. If you’re interested, please give us a call at 907 980-8898. He’s in Anchorage.

LILO

Introducing Lilo, a precious white kitten with a touch of elegance! Lilo’s unique grey stripe on top of her head sets her apart, while her personality makes her an exceptional companion. Lilo came to us from a strange situation. She was crying, dirty, skinny, being held on the head of an intoxicated man on the street who seemed to be treating her like a toy. She was clearly in distress and some danger. The man was convinced that she needed care immediately and finally agreed to let her be taken. Her rescuer very likely saved her life.

This little sweetheart is now a happy little girl about 3 months old. She is in search of a loving home where she can share her playful spirit and gentle snuggles. She is currently playing and best friends with Kona in her foster home. They would love to be adopted together. It’s not required, but she does need to have another cat friend in the house. GLEN

Meet Glen! ✨

Are you looking for a sidekick? A cat who will always stick by your side and give you unconditional love forever and always? If so then Glen is the perfect friend for you! After being rescued from a rough life of neglect, all Glen wants is to never be alone again. He will follow you and encourage you wherever you go. Whether it’s keeping you company while doing laundry or watching for bugs in the garden, Glens got your back.

He’s so incredibly easygoing. He gets along with anyone and anything he meets. He will love on the dog, hang out with the cats, and cuddle the kids or other humans in your life. He has love to give everyone and has never met anyone he doesn’t like.

Before coming into CCCR care, Glen was in very poor condition. Skinny as a rail (we are still working on his gaining weight), a broken jaw that had been left untreated for so long that it’s permanently fused crooked, covered in mats (he’s sporting the lion cut for the meantime, but hair will grow back), and a case of hyperthyroidism that was left untreated for an extended time.  that he was Glen was so bad, that the vet recommended for euthanasia at his first visit. But Glen wasn’t done. He’s a fighter. After a few months of treatments for his thyroid and for pain, it didn’t take him long to recover and become a spunky and loving boy!

Glen will need to take meds  for hyperthyroidism for the rest of his life. However, this is super easy as he is very treat-motivated and will eat his pill right up with any cat treat. He is also currently on a renal supplement due to how long his hyperthyroidism was left untreated. And he will need pain meds/anti-inflammatories for his pain (like a lot of old codgers.)

Glen does great with creatures of all kind, but what he wants most is a family or person who will stay home with him most of the time so he can stick by their side. If you have kids, we recommend he’s with older kids who know to be gentle with him. He’s about 10 years old.

He’s located in Anchorage but can travel for the perfect family. Please call or text 720-563-7141 if you want to learn more 😻

LOLA

Lola is an 8 year old siamese long hair mix spayed female. Her family’s situation changes so she finds herself looking for a new home. If you have a dog who likes cat, she is your girl!
In her previous home, the dog didn’t care for her as much as she loved the dog. So, when the dog would go in her kennel at night, she would lay on the blanket draped over the door, knowing that the dog cannot get away from her! Smart kitty! Lola was a kitten when she met the dog and the doggie would let her ride on her back! They snuggled together to sleep.
She also likes kiddos. But, she doesn’t like anyone to carry her. As expected, when moving to a new place she may hide for a few days, but then once she feels safe, she is the exploring queen. She knows how to be safe outside and always returns home so a nice safe yard is needed. She likes men. She has been know to play with their beards and lay on their chest. Sometimes she can even play a little rough with them because she was used to that in her previous home. She is in Wasilla. Text 907-960-0096 to learn more.

NUGGET

It’s never too late to help save a life. And it’s the later in life cats that always need a helping hand.

How often does it happen that their humans grow old and the cat is left without a family to love them and care for them? Too many times. In some cases the person is able to make arrangements for the cat to have a loving home. But sometimes, as in the situation with Nugget, his human had to leave him before expected.

Nugget is about 12 years old and he spent his life with a woman who loved and adored cats. She saved so many and gave so many a wonderful life. But before she was ready to leave her beloved Nugget, circumstances changed and she had to move into a memory facility.

The sadness is inexplicable for both her and her sweet Nugget. There was no opportunity for her to plan ahead for this and so at the last minute Nugget was left with friends calling around to find him a place to go.

So here he is. The sweetest boy in the world. Nugget does have hyperthyroidism but that’s easy and cheap. A pill crushed in his food. And we have him on a wetfood, kidney diet because it can help him do better as he ages. He’s only 12 with years of life left and so much love to give, so much comfort and joy to share. And no family to share it with.

But we know there are people out there who need Nugget’s kind of easy going comfortable love. He would be happy in any home where the people and the animals are kind to him. He is ready to start this new part of his life with a new loving family. He’s ready to be the sweetness you need to make life happy.

If you want to help a kind, gentle boy a helping hand, and have a special beloved cat share years of your life in the sweetest way, please consider Nugget. He needs you now.

RAFN

🐾 Meet Rafn: A Special Cat Seeking a Forever Home! 🏡❤️

📣 Attention all cat lovers! We have a wonderful feline friend named Rafn who is in need of a loving forever home. Rafn’s journey has been a challenging one, but his resilient spirit and gentle nature make him truly special. Let’s learn more about this remarkable boy and see if you could be the perfect match for him!

🐱 Rafn’s Story:

Rafn’s life began as a stray cat in a group that lived in the yard of an older couple who fed the chickens, but didn’t feed the cats. The cats survived off of stolen chicken food and hovered under a building to stay alive. He was rescued and  adopted to a barn home with his beloved brother, sharing adventures and exploring their rustic surroundings. Sadly, circumstances took a turn for the worse, and both cats were abandoned. Rafn’s brother disappeared, leaving him alone and frightened. However, fate intervened when he found himself back in rescue. We believe he’s around 3-5 years old.

💔 Adjusting to Loneliness:

Imagine the fear and confusion Rafn experienced after losing his brother and being left to fend for himself. Trust was a luxury he couldn’t afford easily. But within those soulful eyes, his rescuers saw a glimmer of hope, and they knew Rafn deserved a chance at a better life.

💖 Slowly Building Trust:

In his foster home, Rafn has made remarkable progress. Although he still has some shyness and fear, he has shown great resilience and a budding curiosity about the world of humans. He now enjoys the comfort of a warm and secure cat bed, along with regular, comforting meals. Day by day, he is discovering the joy of being cared for and is starting to be interested in exploring the bond between feline and human.

🌟 Rafn’s Unique Requirements:

Rafn needs someone who understands his past and the time it will take for him to fully trust again. Patience, love, and TLC are the keys to Rafn’s heart. While he may never become a lap cat, he has the potential to surprise us all. A gentle touch and kind words will go a long way in helping him overcome his fears and become the confident cat he’s meant to be.

😺 The Importance of a Feline Friend:

Rafn thrives in the presence of other cats. He enjoys their company and engages in delightful conversations, trilling and making adorable sounds. Therefore, he requires a forever home where he can have a friendly feline companion who will offer comfort, support, and companionship.

🚫 No Children or Dogs:

To ensure Rafn’s continued growth and well-being, it is best for him to be in a calm and serene environment. Therefore, a home without children or dogs would be ideal, allowing him to feel safe and secure.

🏡 Your Invitation to Be Rafn’s Hero:

Are you ready to make a lifelong difference in Rafn’s life? Can you provide him with the loving, indoor home he dreams of? If you are that special person who understands his needs, the rewards will be immeasurable. Rafn will grace your life with his sweet and gentle nature, filling your days with his unique presence.

💌 If you are interested in welcoming Rafn into your heart and home, please reach out! Let’s give Rafn the love, warmth, and security he truly deserves. Share this post with friends and family to help us find the perfect match for this remarkable cat. Thank you!

MURRAY

Murray is a floofy Maine Coonish looking girl with a great personality. She is a year or two old.

Murray is the cuddliest, playfullest, sweetest cat around. She gets along well with other kitties and nice dogs that don’t invade her space. She loves to play and jump around with her string and feather toys. Humans are her favorite and she loves to curl up in laps after a hard play session. Sometimes she demands your attention by mouthing your hand so may not be best for younger kids. She has a big personality and would love to find a family to play and cuddle with her forever.

APOLLO

Once apon a time, someone loved a little cat named Apollo. Unfortunately, like so many kitties that end up with a rescue, that love became neglect and he learned that not all people are good people.

It took his rescuers over an hour to find him in an apartment that was knee deep in garbage. He spent the next two weeks pretending he didn’t exist, too terrified to do anything but cower. It took him 17 days to allow a person to pet him, and then….he changed….

He remembered what love was! Which was met with full force head buts and aggressively making all the biscuits! He found his purr again, and it was mighty.

Apollo has come so far in such a short time, and he continues to grow in confidence every day. He can still be shy, and loud noises make him head for the hills, but once he’s comfortable, he will be your forever buddy. He needs a family who can be patient while he continues to decompress and find his way.

He would probably do well with another cat. He has started singing to the old lady cat who lives in the main house and wants to be her friend. He has seen dogs and doesn’t seem to care they exist.

He does have one weird….quirk. He currently lives in a glass art studio, and there is no easy way to put this…..he’s a kleptomaniac. Or has an appreciation of art? Maybe he is part magpie. Everytime I tidy his bedding, I find bobbles. Shiny tumbled glass stones and unstrung necklaces. It’s been a hoot to see what his preference in jewelry are every day! Consider yourself warned.

Apollo deserves to find love again. He needs his happily ever after. If you think you are a good fit for this half magpie/ half cat, please reach out to meet him today. You won’t regret it! (Until maybe he steals and hoards your valuables).

MR FANCY PANTS and LUNA

Insta-cats!

Mr Fancy Pants and Luna are brother and sister and they fit easily into that illusive category of ‘insta-cat’. They are instantly friendly, happy, playful kitties. They are about a year old and their family couldn’t keep them because of life changes. Certainly not because these two did anything wrong. They are purrfection in fur!

Our hope is to get them adopted together but if great families come along to adopt them separately, then that would work too.

They will need an interactive family that will give them lots of love and attention. They have done great with the kids in the foster home. They will need a safe yard to play in with their people when they are adjusted to their new home.

They are in Anchorage and ready to find that great home with a loving family.

MR MONK

Mr Monk started off as a quiet and observant guy. He was very confused what to do as an indoor cat and scared of almost everything. But then he started to learn that people bring food and would never hurt him, and he started to explore and get more confident. His foster brother showed him how to snuggle in the sunshine, play with his toys, and get nice pets from his humans.

Now Mr Monk is completely transformed. He will come up for pets and purr and rub up against you, thankful for the love. He’s even learning to snuggle on the bed at our feet. He loves to play at any time of day, either with his toys or with his cat friend. He’s a young boy who came from a big group of cats who were used to being rowdy. He is still learning to not play too rough with cat, friends so his new home will need a patient cat that can keep helping him learn the ropes. He still has spunky kitten energy and becomes a goofball when he finds a good toy.

His new home will need lots of play time and cat safe activities for all his energy. He does well with mellow dogs and will need a cat friend to nap and play with. He would probably do best with older kiddos that won’t chase him or rush him. His new family will need to be patient with him as he continues to build his confidence and settle into a new environment. But once he’s ready, he will be a loving, spunky addition to his family.

LILY

Pretty, slighty chubby, declawed girl, Lily is sweet and affectionate. She has a short-haired tabby coat that she keeps very neat and well-groomed. We think she is about 12 years old.

Lily is a cat that knows her own mind. She’s not a pushover and will keep her dignity at all times. She does not like other cats around. They make her irritable. She is said to do fine with respectful dogs. She prefers that her space is her space and her people be her people. She loves to sleep on the bed with her humans. She’s not annoying in any way, does not demand attention when you are otherwise occupied. Doesn’t cause trouble and knows exactly how to behave in a home with a family. She is great at being there when you need her, providing snuggles that make you feel like a million bucks. But she also loves her own space and time to do things, like stroll around outside on nice days or take naps on a favorite chair.

If you are looking for the perfect cat who will be your companion and beloved family, and who causes no trouble at all, ever, Lily will be the best!

TIMMY

Just like Garfield, Timmy the orange tabby will steal your heart – not your lasagna! Timothy is about 6-7 years old, a sweet boy looking for snuggles and a sweet household of humans to pure and sleep with (errr on!)

Timmy is gregarious, loving, and well suited for a family with young children. His foster family has a rambunctious 9 year old who has carried him around and Timmy has never scratched, not even once. He’ll even let you rub his belly. He is well suited to be indoors, but is outside curious and must have a good yard in his new home. He has done fine with other nice cats.  His foster family has one elder, well behaved dog and Timmy is able to coexist peacefully – although he prefers his loft and high perches. He’s getting braver every day, and has so much love to give!

TOOTHLESS

Gorgeous ebony panther, Toothless is a terrific guy.

He’s a lover. Totally cuddly, affectionate with people, he is a lap sitter, purr master, the guy you want to spend a long rainy day snuggled up with. He does great with most other cats and dogs too. He’s good buds with some of the cats in his foster home. And fine with the dogs. But every once in a while he gets a wild hair and decides to start a tussle. It’s possible that he is a little overwhelmed in the foster home with so many cats and dogs and we think he will be more even in a home with just a few other animals.

He loves to go outside and will absolutely need a good hunting area either in a yard with trees and bushes to explore or a near woods. He and his cat friends like to check things out and make sure the home lands are safe and free from invaders, like voles and shrews.

We think Toothless might be 4 or 5 years old. He is full of all the exuberance and joy of youth while knowing the ropes of living well in a happy family.

(He recently was shaved so he’s a little embarrassingly naked in parts at the moment.)

TODD

Todd, or Baby Todd as we’ve been calling him most of the time even though he’s quite a big guy, is the sweetest boy. He’s lived much of his adult life with chronic pain due to a condition called entropion. Since his eye surgery, his true personality has started to emerge.

He loves to play but is still getting used to those playful urges so he tends to get overwhelmed pretty quickly, but he recovers fast and is ready to play again within minutes. He’s overly submissive with other cats and would do well with welcoming cats or just on his own. He’s been initially aggressive with dogs, possibly due to interactions with dogs while he was a stray, but he’s been adjusting well to our very calm 80 lb pointer mix. That being said he may be okay with calm dogs who are used to cats, but he’s also a very typical cat in that he will lie in wait on the stairs just to freak out the dog.

Since his surgery, Todd has become a lot more snuggly with humans. He’ll love following you around to see what you’re doing (especially to the kitchen or bathroom) and he’ll snuggle with you/near you when he’s not taking his midday nap. Since he’s used to being outside and has gotten used to the luxury of living inside, he’d do best with a family who’d allow him to be an inside/outside cat. He’s also good on a harness. Todd loves squeeze tube wet treats and hates crunchy or stick treats. He primarily eats dry food but loves wet food as well. He’s happy to beg for human food although he’s only ever really happy with a bit of ham. Nicknames include: Little Buddy, Little Baby Todd, Pretty Boy”. We think he ‘s about 3 years old.

OREO

OREO-

  • super funny, teasing toward the dog, knows he has the upper hand and had the dog right at his feet immediately !
  • a hider, but when you find him he is so excited, like it’s a game of hide and seek instead of hiding further
  • missing one ear, really adds to his badass independent personality, felt like he was a revolutionary in another life with how they said he was hissing and crying to get out of the shelter and rousing up the other cats

MERLIN

Merlin, a beautiful blue-eyed Flame Point Siamese, has done a complete 180 since being brought into foster from a horrible hoarding situation.  He started out terrified, he would hardly move and made absolutely no sounds, basically petrified in place.  It took a long time but once he decided he could trust people he became another cat!

Merlin is blind. You would hardly know that he can’t see. He cruises around with no problem, in fact, one of the first places he figured out how to get to was up on a very high bed because this boy LOVES to snuggle! He works overtime in the biscuit factory, begs for pets, meows for attention, seeks out your lap on the couch, all of the sweet things! He also likes his alone time too, finding little hidey holes to chill in occasionally but for the most part, he is the king of the bed!

You don’t need an alarm clock with this guy around, he will let you know feeding time is here and in the sweetest way. He flips and flops around on his back asking for pets and rubs his sweet little face all over you so you don’t forget its time to eat!  His favorite pastime is to play, it is adorable to watch as he brings his favorite toys to the middle of a room so he has the most space to play and hopefully not lose track of his toy of choice.  Sometimes he does though, so the system his fosters have set up is to gather up all his toys a few times a day and put them in his favorite hang-out spot so he can always go grab another, it works great!

It seems that he may need to  be an only cat. The frisky young cat in the foster home was too much for him.  He would also do best in a home where someone is around most of the time because he is very affectionate and loves to play.  He would do ok with older children but no dogs. He will need some access to the outside, such as a catio or deck where he can feel and smell the fresh summer breezes.

We think he is a year or two old. He’s in Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

MASON

Given name is Mason but his street name is Leo because of his bright colored mane and his cool and confident personality. He has the most beautiful eyes and silky hair.

He’s an All Around Cool Cat. He does does well with cat friends or is fine by himself. He loves to be around his humans.. He likes to talk for attention and cuddles. He does love the outdoors and will need a safe place to roam around a bit and show off his lion-ness. He is not comfortable around fast movements or loud noises and if irritated enough, he may swat. But in general, he is the sweetest easy-going boy to be a part of a loving settled home.

AMARA

Amara is a beautiful lilac-point Siamese around 10 months old. She loves kitties and doggies. When she feels safe she loves her people and loves attention. She will purr all day for pets. But she is terrified in open loud spaces. If you try and approach her in the open she will run like a wild child. If you sit and calmly talk to her and call her she will make her way over to you for attention.

Amara will need a patient and understanding family to help her continue to build her confidence. She will also need a feline friend in her new home. And in the future, when she has bonded with her family, she will need a safe place where she can go outside with her kitty friends and humans if she decides she wants to enjoy the outside world.

She’s in Soldotna. Call or text 907 953-0333

REBEL

Sweet Rebel! He’s a handsome young fellow in a striking, almost Bengal patterned coat. Short-haired, neat. He always looks well groomed. We think he is about a year old, maybe two years.

He loves to be pet. And he loves to head butt his special people. He will take a minute to adjust since he knows better than to trust any strange human. He purrs a sweet song when he’s getting cuddles. He likes quiet, safe places to hang out and nap. He will definitely need a safe place to go outside with his family when he is settled in. And he loves other cats so he will do best in a home with a cat friend. We don’t know about dogs.

GRACIE

Gracie is a gorgeous tiger/tabby girl with markings as sharp as a bengal’s. She is a most loving, affectionate girl who is a darling with her trusted people and all her cats who will love her too. We think she is a year or two old.

Gracie spent some time as a stray and it made her cautious. But she never lost the love of family and home. Once she knows you are her beloved ones, she is all in for pets and head butts. And she will lick your face as if grooming you like she would a kitten or any loved one. Once you are her people, she is happy to take care of you and give you love. Being outside for some time, with all the cautions needed to stay alive, she didn’t have a chance to totally relax and play. And now that she’s safe and loved, she is learning how to play. She loves romping around the house and she loves the laser light.

Gracie is a mellow and beautiful young girl who will need a special kind and settled home. She will need a cat friend to be her companion and gentle people who will give her all the time and patience needed to adapt to a new world. She’s in Nikiski but can travel for love. Handsome with his pirate look, Hawkeye is a sweet boy who has only one eye but he has a lotta love to give to make up for it. He can see right to the heart of things and is so ready to have a loving, kind family of his own.

Hawkeye is maybe a couple years old. He came into the MatSu shelter in a trap and with a bad eye. From the start in foster he has proven to be a loving gentle boy. He loves people. He loves to play and has found so much joy in have the safe home where he can have the comfort of not worrying about his next meal or danger. He is very affectionate and with people. He does just fine with other cats and dogs and would be totally okay with a companion in the home. But we think he would also do well as the only as long as he has lots of love from his people. And a safe place to play outside.

JESSICA

Beautiful tortie-point Siamese girl, Jessica is a sweetheart. She came to us declawed. She has blue eyes and a lovely  coat that has a subtle camouflage design on her back. She’s a small girl, neat and lovable.

Jessica is gentle and easy to have as part of the family. She tends to be happy just doing her own thing,  or hanging out around the house, sharing love and a quiet life with her humans. She would love a little yard that is safe where she could go out and revel in the birdsong on a warm summer evening. She can live with other cats who leave her alone but seems to be happy in a home where it is just her and her beloved human.

When Jessica was rescued, it was found that she had multiple fragments of nails and bone growth in her toes. Every declawed toe that to be repaired because of the damage that the declaw surgery had done. She seems to be doing great now. She is about 8 years old.

If you’re looking for a sweet girl who is easy to love and live with, and who is strikingly beautiful, please contact us at 907 980-8898. She’s in Wasilla.

MARAUDER

Marauder is so beyond ready to find his perfect family! And who wouldn’t want a handsome big boy cuddlebutt cat to be their own?

He was a long timer at the pound and was starting to lose patience with people poking and petting him all day without his permission. But once he got into foster, it was very obvious he really wants to be part of a family! He is a very curious cat and wants to be involved in what you’re doing, whatever is going on in the house or his yard. He is a big boy and likes to wrestle with the other cats. So a boy cat that likes to romp and wrestle would be a great pal for him, as long as he can be the boss. He really loves paper bags, laser toys, hair ties, and anything else he can find to play with. He’s very affectionate and loves pets, but he has parts of his body that are off limits to touching and he is very firm in setting his boundaries. He also does not like being picked up without permission. A home with adults or older kids who understand limits would be best.

Marauder is a great cat who does fine with dogs and other cats but he will want to be the cat in charge. We think he’s about 3 years old. In Wasilla. Call 907 980-8898

Khajiit is our little girl who snuck into our hearts. She was so scaredy cat but has found safety in the arms of other kitties. She LOVES, ADORES AND IDOLIZES her kitty friends.  She is a young girl, just about 1 year old.

She will yell at you for not feeding her on her schedule and will absolutely want to be around you, but petting is a no go. She prefers her pets to come her feline friends and not humans. Khajiit will make a wonderful kitty friend to a lonely nice kitty who will frolic in the yard with her during warm summer days.

FLORENCE

Beautiful seal-point Siamese girl, Queen Florence is self-appointed feline royalty with personality to spare.  She loves to be involved with everything her people do and will follow them from room to room to check on them when it suits her.

As a social butterfly, she needs to investigate all visitors and has been known to go from lap to lap gathering love and snuggles from her humans.  She prefers to initiate contact and does not like to be picked up, but will happily snuggle on the couch or in bed with you.  She prefers to be able to roam throughout the house and has an aversion to closed doors.

Florence thrives in a house as the only furry friend.  This way she can soak up all the attention.  She would do well with older children, but does not do well with other cats and only tolerates dogs.  She would make an excellent companion to someone who is home often and can meet her needs for attention.  She will need a safe outside space to explore.

We think Florence is 3 or 4 years old. In Eagle River. Call 907 980-8898

DUKE and PISTACHIO

Who is the cutest kitty in the land?

Duke and Pistachio! You can’t pick just one with these 2 around.

About 3 1/2 months old, they are purrfect babies ready to find their new home, or homes. They would be great adopted together. But if they each had a wonderful family with another feline to be their best friend and loved one, as well as humans who adore them, they would be fine.

Duke is the charming ebony guy with that fantastic smokey ruff. And what a personality! He was turned into rescue because the owners didn’t like him and weren’t feeding him much. Crazy people!

And little sweetheart Pistachio was found outside with injuries that looked like a dog attack. We thought she might lose part of her foot but she kept up her bright spirit and healed great.

Now they are healthy, happy babies who need loving dependable humans to look after them and be their family for the rest of their lives. They will need to be adopted together or have another friendly cat in their new homes, and they will also need a safe yard to play in with their families on nice days. No locked inside like prisoners homes for them. They are real kitties with real cat needs so that they remain healthy and happy and full of joy.

SERENA

A fluffy and friendly little girl, Serena is the perfect family cat! There is not a person or animal that she doesn’t love. Even after being caught in a trap and spending time in a cage at Houston House, she was immediately giving as much love as she could. She became especially attached to the kids in her foster home, following them around the house and licking their faces every chance she got. She also loves to climb and scratch cat trees and play with toys.

She is approximately 1 or 2 years old with the most gorgeous long silky tabby coat. Her face looks like a lynx and her tail is luxuriously fluffy. She would love to find a family with a cat and maybe some kids. She also does well with dogs and enjoys their company. Located in Eagle River, but can travel for true love. Contact 720-563-7141
