Alpine is an absolutely lovely cat. He came into rescue very afraid, nose scratched up, and his ear deformed from infection and frostbite. He had likely been living outside on his own for quite some time. But it did not take long for him to open up and show his foster what a loving and affectionate cat he is!
He is the very definition of a Velcro cat! He wants to be anywhere you are all the time. He will sleep next to you and put his nose in your ear. He will sit with you on the couch. He will walk in between your legs down the hall. He will wait outside the bathroom for you. Even though he’s a big guy, he loves to be held and cuddled and will lay his head on your shoulder and cling to you.
If you are looking for an independent cat that will help with rodent control, Alpine is not your guy. If you are looking for a loving companion who will never leave your side, Alpine is definitely the one for you.
Alpine seems to be a little on the older side. He is not a fan of dogs and will not share space with them. He would do best in a home without dogs. He does great with other cats and the older kid in his foster home. He would likely do well in a family home with younger kids if they know how to give nice pets.
This handsome golden boy with his freckles and his wonky ear is ready to give his heart to a loving family. If you can be that for him, please call 907 980-8898. In Wasilla.
